Rick Cedar was born in Boston, Mass and grew up in a Boston suburb. The young Rick grew up an avid movie goer, standing in line for hours for the openings of Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies. Rick always dreamed of being a writer. He wrote his first book at the age of nine – a story about a frog, called Frantic Frog.
